Reverend Daniel E. Glaze
Senior Pastor

Hello!  As a pastor, I realize that I have a very public persona.  Most people know me by my preaching, teaching, or community involvement.  But perhaps you don't know quite so much about me.  Please allow me a few moments to share a bit more about who I am as your pastor and leader.

I joined the staff of The First Baptist Church of Ahoskie as Pastor on November 16, 2006. I am a graduate of Georgetown College (B.A.), Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond (M.Div.) and I am completing doctoral requirements (D.Min.) at Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary.

I came to Ahoskie from the First Baptist Church of Frankfort, Kentucky, where I served as Pastoral Resident, a pilot program funded by the Lilly Foundation and the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship.  I was ordained to the Gospel Ministry by that very fine church.

My responsibilities include preaching, providing pastoral care, and leading the church to discover and engage their God-given mission.

I am married to Andrea, a Louisville, Kentucky native.  Andrea is an Industrial-Organizational psychologist and currently serves as the director of the Career Readiness Center at Roanoke-Chowan Community College.  We are the proud parents of two daughters, Ella and Ashley. Ella and Ashley are the proud owners of a miniature Australian Shepherd, Micah.

In my spare time, I enjoy quality family time, cooking, and dabbling in photography.

If you have any questions regarding pastoral ministry or the church in general, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Peace,

Return to Ministry Team
