Martie M. Tayloe, Financial Secretary

Martie Tayloe joined the staff of The First Baptist Church of Ahoskie as Financial Secretary in July of 2004, soon after moving from Richmond, Virginia to husband Jack's family farm outside Aulander. Previously, Martie had worked for 15 years in the business office of a large neurosurgery practice. The Tayloes have three grown children: Wyatt - 22, Erin - 28, and Carrie - 30; and three critters: Sarah and Willey (canines) and Jo-Jo, the cat. The latter three still live at home.

A native of Halifax, Martie was raised in Richmond and spent her college years in Colorado, but has always kept a strong connection to long time family roots in Northeastern NC. She enjoys being closer to her large extended family now.

St. Thomas' Episcopal Parish is the Tayloes' church home, where both sing in the choir and Martie serves on Vestry. She counts herself uniquely lucky to have two church families!
